Popular ‘Southern indulgence’ food hall favorite opens Clintonville location

A huge congratulations to this food hall star who has expanded to a Clintonville brick & mortar.
Modern Southern Table, known Southern soul food like fried fish and chicken, greens and beans, candied yams, fried okra, and so much more, just opened this week at 5179 N. High St., in the former Wing Snob.
The restaurant first opened in Budd Dairy Hall, immediately becoming popular for their Southern delicacies. Owner Sadaya “Daisy” Lewis began her restaurant and catering business ten years ago, using her love of cooking to create an expanding business with an expansive menu of Southern comfort food.

“I can’t wait to share a good, wholesome meal with the people of Columbus, a community I’ve considered family for a long time,” said Lewis on Modern Southern Table’s website. “I’m looking forward to sharing meals made from scratch and with love; meals that will remind people of home; meals that my ancestor handed down as they journey through life—all while hoping to create a new age gathering around the table, A Modern Southern Table.”
The new location is open Tuesday through Sunday, 11am-9pm. Enjoy!
