Ray Ray’s Hog Pit teams up with Clintonville eatery for sushi collaboration
“What do you get when you mix BBQ with sushi?” is a question we never thought we’d have to answer, but there’s a first for everything.
Announced earlier today, award-winning Columbus barbeque hotspot Ray Ray’s Hog Pit is pairing with FUSIAN to release a limited edition sushi roll.
Called the Smoke Show, the collaborative item features pulled pork from Ray Ray’s, mango, jalapeno, jalapeno barbeque sauce, Super Slaw–with kale, shredded red cabbage and cilantro-avocado dressing–and tempura crunch with a spicy dry rub.

The collaboration is available for a limited time, beginning Aug. 8. It’s available only at FUSIAN’s Clintonville eatery, which is located at 4214 N. High St. And FUSIAN won’t have to go far to find Ray Ray’s. After the Columbus barbeque spot closed its original Ace of Cups food truck earlier this year, it opened a brick and mortar eatery inside of the former Clintonville Wizard of Za, which shares a building with the sushi restaurant.
“Low and slow converges with fresh and fast,” said FUSIAN co-founder Stephan Harman in a press release. “We’re blending sushi’s creativity with Ray Ray’s bold barbecue heritage to connect people through collaboration, culture and cuisine – our stated mission.”
