Ray Ray’s holding 10-round spicy chicken wing eating contest, a la ‘Hot Ones’
A Columbus barbecue spot is partnering with a local hot sauce brand to turn up the heat on the city’s food scene.
On March 5 from 7-9 p.m., Cluck Off–a chicken wing eating contest created by Ray Ray’s Hog Pit and Black Cap Hot Sauce–will be held at Land Grant Brewing Co. (which is also the site of a Ray Ray’s food truck).
You can purchase tickets for the contest, which are $26 each, here.

Similar to the popular YouTube series Hot Ones, the new chicken wing-eating contest will include 10 rounds, each one with a hotter sauce than the last.
Created by former Watershed Kitchen & Bar Executive Chef Jack Moore, Black Cap Hot Sauce is an artisan sauce brand, with its flagship sauce, which is fermented, featuring Fresno chilies, garlic, sea salt, ginger and lime zest.
