The best slice in this Columbus neighborhood will be named at annual pizza crawl

Every year on the second Thursday in May, the residents of the Fifth by Northwest neighborhood gather to name the area’s best pizza in the Fifth by Northwest Pizza Crawl.

Held this year on May 8, the event aims to promote local business, boost community engagement and neighborhood pride. And did we mention all pizza is $1 a slice?

All participating pizzerias—there are currently five signed on, Brenz Pizza, Dewey’s Pizza, Halawani’s Pizza, Jets Pizza and Rotolo’s Pizza—will offer pizza for just $1 during the two hour event.

After tasting each one, visitors will be able to vote on their favorite. Rotolo’s Pizza has taken home then top spot the last two years,

According to Alex Volakis, event organizer and Fifth by Northwest Area Commissioner, the event’s turnout is largely weather dependent, but it could see as many as 500 people participate.
