These are the best ‘budget bites’ in town, says 614feast
What counts as “affordable” is always up for debate, but for this list every spot is around $10–$15 per dish. From loaded sandwiches to authentic tacos, these budget-friendly favorites prove you don’t need to break the bank to feast in Columbus.
DK Diner (1715 W. 3rd Ave., Grandview Heights)
What’s finer than a diner? Not much, especially when it comes to DK. I love their house-made donuts and classic comfort food. My go-to is the Pot Roast Melt: house made pot roast, Swiss cheese, sauteed onion & mushroom, horseradish mayo, on grilled parmesan sourdough, served with chips all for $14.49.

Los Agavez Taqueria (multiple)
Whether you visit their food truck or their spot inside the Little Grand Market, Los Agavez delivers big flavor without a big price tag. Grab a huge, satisfying burrito for just $14 or treat yourself to three of their beloved birria tacos with consomé for $15.

Xi Xia Chinese Cuisine (multiple)
Some of the best noodles and rice dishes in the city, packed with authentic flavors. For nood lovers, go for the Xi Xia Lamb Noodle Soup with lamb bone broth, daikon, wood ear mushrooms, cilantro, green onion, and tender lamb shank slices for $15. For rice go for the General Tso’s Chicken over Rice, perfectly crispy and saucy for just $14.

Si Señor Peruvian Sandwiches (multiple)
Bold flavors and creative sandwiches that always hit, all priced between $10–$15. My go-to is the Pork & Pork: oven-roasted pork loin stacked with Mexican chorizo, provolone, avocado, tomato, lettuce, and a cilantro mayo.

AnA Shawarma / Auzy’s Pizza & Chicken (2864 N. High St.)
Two crave-worthy spots sharing one kitchen inside High St Kitchens. Owner Auzy runs both concepts, serving delicious food at prices that are hard to beat. At AnA Shawarma, go for the Mix Shawarma: a generous serving of tender lamb and chicken, perfectly seasoned and loaded with flavor, all for just $11.99. At Auzy’s Pizza & Chicken, grab a medium cheese pizza for $10.99. Toppings range from $1.50 to $5, so you can customize your pie without emptying your wallet.

These are some of my favorite affordable meals in Columbus. Tag a friend in the comments (it’s free) and tell them where you’re feasting next.
