This classic Columbus eatery closed in 2010; but now a local restaurant group is re-opening it Downtown
When it first opened on Park Street in 2005, Spice Kitchen + Bar was “one of the most iconic venues in Columbus,” said Justin Kintz of One Hospitality Group.
And while Spice eventually closed in 2010, Kintz and One Hospitality are preparing to bring back the Columbus concept early next year.
Operating under the same name, Spice Kitchen + Bar is set to open in the spring of 2026. It will be located at 491 Park St., the exact same space it previously called home.

“Reviving Spice feels like the natural next step. It allows us to honor the legacy that helped launch Park Street’s evolution while reimagining it for a new generation,” Kintz said. “Bringing back such a beloved brand reconnects the district to its roots and sets the tone for what’s coming: a revitalized Park Street that once again leads Columbus in innovation, energy, and culinary creativity.”
He noted the eatery will follow in the footsteps of Spice’s first iteration, opting for a “bold, Asian-centric menu” in addition to “shareable plates, fresh noodles, creative bowls, sushi” and more. In terms fo Beverages, Spice will offers “Asian-influenced cocktails” and “playful takes on classics,” Kintz said.
