This Columbus restaurant serves ‘the best gyros in the state’ according to national travel guide

No need to book a trip to the Mediterranean when some of the best gyros are already right here in Columbus.

According to the national travel guide Family Destinations, The Mad Greek, located at 4210 E. Broad St., “teleports you from the heart of Ohio directly to a seaside taverna on a Greek island.”

And they said their gyros are the best in Ohio. “A perfect harmony of seasoned meat, fresh toppings, and that mountain of shredded lettuce that defies gravity,” said Family Destinations.

The Mad Greek offers traditional beef and lamb gyros, but also chicken gyros and even falafel gyros. They’re piled high with banana peppers, red onion, tomato, and shredded lettuce, as well as homemade tzatziki sauce.
