This Polaris restaurant is giving away free sushi rolls for a day—if you know what to say at the register

Off the heels of a 2024 marketing initiative that plastered a QR code on a man who ran around Polaris Fashion Place in a red body suit and awarded free sushi to anyone able to scan him, Ujelei Sushi is back at it again.

To celebrate National Sushi Day on June 18, the Polaris spot will be passing out free sushi rolls to mall guests.

If they know what to say at the register.

According to a press release from the eatery, guests simply need to approach the counter in Ujelei and say “International Sushi Day.” Each person will receive one free roll, and the offer is good from 12-7 p.m. on June 18.

Not be outdone by last year’s marketing initiative, the sushi concept is enlisting the help of influencer Floorzitake to promote the event. The content creator will be roaming the mall in an oversized sushi costume.
