Travel guide says this 70 year old local diner serves ‘the best waffles of your life’
No need to travel to Belgium when the best waffles are actually right here in Columbus.
According to Family Destinations, a national travel guide, Chef-O-Nette, the nearly 70 old diner located in Upper Arlington’s Tremont Center, serves some of the best waffles you’ll ever have. They “emerge from the kitchen with a golden-brown perfection that would make Belgian waffle masters weep with envy.”

Chef-O-Nette’s waffles are served with powdered sugar and whipped cream, and you can top them with chocolate chips, strawberries, or blueberries. They also have a Chicken and Waffles option with hand-battered and broasted fried chicken tenders.
The restaurant initially closed last year, but a local family bought it and brought it back to life. You can read more about that in our latest issue of (614) Magazine!
