Travel guide says ‘unassuming’ 93 year old Central Ohio spot serves ‘the most mouthwatering burgers in the state’

The way a hamburger was made almost 100 years ago might be the best way to still make it today. With, of course, maybe the addition of onion rings and BBQ sauce.
The national travel guide, Family Destinations, highlighted a 93 year old restaurant in Delaware, called Hamburger Inn Diner, who they say has perfected the art of the classic burger, even stating that it serves the most mouth-watering burger in the state.
Hamburger Inn Diner, located at 16 N. Sandusky St., was known as the Senate Restaurant decades ago, offering meals for only 25 cents. In 1932, the Hudson Family purchased the Senate Restaurant. Rumor has it, it’s the oldest diner in Ohio!

“The laminated menu at Hamburger Inn Diner isn’t trying to reinvent American cuisine or impress you with fusion experiments,” said Family Destinations. “Instead, it celebrates the classics that have earned their place in our culinary heritage.”
The travel guide specifically calls out the Black Angus Steak Burgers, hand-formed, cooked on a well-seasoned flat-top grill, and topped with gooey cheese, tangy pickles, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and sharp onion.
“This is burger craftsmanship at its finest – no unnecessary flourishes, no trendy ingredients, just decades of experience focused on getting the fundamentals exactly right,” said Family Destinations.
Try for yourself! Visit Hamburger Inn Diner every single day from 7am-8pm.
