The concept is based on churrasco cooking, which uses meat that’s fire-roasted and thinly-sliced. A variety of beef cuts, in addition to chicken, pork, seafood and sides are available at the popular chain. The concept also offers an all-you-can-eat experience, where meat is grilled and then sliced in front of diners.
Fogo de Chão first opened in 1979 as a wooden building in the Brazilian countryside, before moving to São Paulo in 1987 and opening in the United States a decade later in 1997.
