Wendy’s is reportedly making a huge change to Frosty’s – here’s what we know

There are so many road trips I can think of where I’ve had to stop at multiple fast-food stops to get what I actually want – french fries from Wendy’s, but then miles away, off the next exit, for a blizzard from Dairy Queen.

If you’ve also been in that situation, things might just be getting a little easier (and tastier).

The Frosty is one of Wendy’s original menu items, dating back to 1969. And although keeping to tradition is always admirable, the ice cream treat is due for a revamp. Wendy’s is reportedly doing just that. 

The food news and reviewers Snach With Zach and Soda Seekers cited an internal memo from Wendy’s, announcing that starting in April, customers will be able to add caramel, strawberry, or brownie batter to their Frosty flavor. And then starting in mid-May, Wendy’s will start serving customizable frozen treats, almost similar to the McFlurry or Blizzard. You’ll be able to add in a sauce and other sweet mix-ins to a chocolate and vanilla Frosty, like M&Ms and Oreos!
