100 year old business closing its Central Ohio location, laying off 141 workers
More than 100 workers are facing layoffs as a large manufacturing plant is closing soon.
Starting December 1, and continuing through August 31, MAHLE Thermal and Fluid Systems is slowly closing their Mt. Sterling manufacturing facility, according to a WARN notice filed with the Department of Job & Family Services, in order to “restructure business.”

Founded in 1920, the technology group is working on the climate-neutral mobility, with a focus on the strategic areas of electrification and thermal management as well as further technologies to reduce CO2 emissions, such as fuel cells or highly efficient, clean combustion engines that also run on renewable fuels, such as hydrogen
Their Dayton location will remain open as far as we know.
