24 year-old arrested after attending Ohio high school for more than a year, posing as a 16 year-old

Since the beginning of last year, a 24 year-old man had been attending Perrysburg High School under the guise of a 16 year-old student, according to the school.

On May 19, Perrysburg Schools published a news update on its website, indicating that 24 year-old Anthony Labrador was arrested by Perrysburg Police and charged with felony forgery. 

The school district said he had been attending classes at the High School as an “unaccompanied minor” since Jan. 11, 2024. It claims he was able to obtain his driver’s license, federal Temporary Protective Status from the U.S. Immigration Department, and that Perrysburg family was granted guardianship of him, believing at first that he was a 16 year-old.

The school also noted he was a member of the JV soccer and swim teams.

Labrador’s guardian family told the school earlier this month that they had received information alleging he was actually 24 years old. He was arrested after Perrysburg Police conducted an investigation into the allegations.
