6 week old puppies rescued from Columbus dumpster
“They were thrown out with the garbage…now look at them!” posted Franklin County Dog Shelter on Instagram.
Five very adorable puppies were rescued from a Columbus dumpster and quickly brought to the shelter by a good Samaritan.
Franklin County Dog Shelter was able to provide them with the care and warmth they so desperately needed, as video footage shows the puppies scared and shaking from the cold.
“Today, they’re healthy, happy…” said the shelter.

Fortunately, Central Ohio jumped at the opportunity to adopt them. The same exact day the video was posted, Franklin County Dog Shelter provided an update: “We are so happy to share with you, all 5 of these sweet puppies have received an adoption hold. We do allow up to 3 adoption holds per puppy if you are still interested!”
There are over 200 other sweet puppies and adult dogs that are looking for their forever homes if you’re interested.
