A nearly human-sized M&M statue was stolen from an Ohio store

While a stolen M&M is nothing to write home about, the theft of a 4 foot-tall M&M statue from a local business is something else entirely.

And this is exactly what happened to one Bowling Green storefront.

According to a social media post from Rock Em Sock Em Retro, which is located at at 127 S. Main St. in Bowling Green, the business had its 4 foot-tall retro M&M stolen from its usual spot outside the store’s front door.

“To the person who stole our 4’0” tall m&m character that stands on our front walk. Please return it!!! It was not free and we want it back! It’s red m&m. If anyone knows about it, please help get it back!!! Thanks! It’s part of my personal collection and it came from a local family video store closing which means more to me,” Rock Em Sock Em posted on Oct. 12.

Thankfully, due to the involvement of the Bowling Green police, who posted surveillance photos of the suspected thieves, the statue was located.

“Our m & m statue has been located and in possession of the police! It’s wild to me that people will openly steal something, knowing cameras watch us everywhere we go anymore. Thanks to all who showed support,” Rock Em Sock Em posted on Oct. 12, before posting that the statue was back in their store on Oct. 14.
