According to ‘HGTV,’ this is the ‘most charming’ small town in Ohio

A new list from HGTV has named the most charming small town in the Buckeye State.

And the winner is? The river city of Marietta.Here’s what the outlet, known for a host of reality-based  TV shows, had to say about it.

“Every year, the riverboat community of Marietta, Ohio, which sits along the convergence of the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers, celebrates with a Sternwheel Festival,” the story reads. “From its beginnings as the first permanent settlement in the Northwest Territory, Marietta has become a thriving town, and its revitalized, historic downtown boasts art galleries, a music hall, museums and unique shops.”

If you’re interested in checking out Ohio’s “most charming small town” for yourself, Marietta is about a two hour drive from Downtown Columbus. Unique spots like The Blennerhassett Hotel and Lafayette Hotel are located a stones throw from the water.”
