The FinanceBuzz study tapped Columbus as the 8th most boring city in the country, with an overall excitement score of 20.3/100. It was one spot behind Oklahoma City (20/100), and just ahead of Tallahassee (20.5/100).

Here’s what FinanceBuzz had to say about Columbus’ ranking:

“Home to Ohio State University, Columbus doesn’t offer the student body much to do when they get off campus, despite being one of the most populated cities in the entire Midwest. In terms of amusement places and must-see attractions per capita, Columbus is among the 20 lowest-scoring cities in the country, and the city has the 14th-lowest rate of nightclubs per capita.”

The outlet collected data from 75 of the country’s most populated cities across the metrics that included population makeup, culinary scene, outdoor activities, nightlife and celebrations, and things to do.
