According to new study, none of the state’s 10 safest cities are in Central Ohio

For the 11th year, the IT and personal security service SafeWise has conducted a data study to determine the safest cities in The Buckeye State.

And none of the top are in Central Ohio.

According to SafeWise, the 10 safest cities in the state are:

  1. Sagamore Hills
  2. Broadview Heights
  3. Olmstead Township
  4. Montville Township
  5. Hamilton Township
  6. North Royalton
  7. New Philadelphia
  8. Brook Park
  9. Parma Heights
  10. Avon Lake

The SafeWise study, which considered property crime rates, violent crime rates and other statistics to determine their rankings, did tap three Central Ohio cities in their top 20 (the list was made up of 20 total cities), including Madison Township in Franklin County (11), Genoa Township (12) and Mount Vernon (17).

Out of the 20 cities that made the SafeWise list, 14 were located in Northeast Ohio.
