After more than 120 years, Columbus business closes
A business that has been serving Columbus for more than a century has closed its doors for good.
According to a social media statement and signage posted to the business’ marquee sign, 5th Ave. Floral Co. closed for good on June 7. It had been open for 124 years, and was located at 1877 Kenny Rd.

“Well everyone the time has come. It is time to say goodbye and close our doors. All of us here at 5th Avenue would like to thank our many, many (many) customers throughout our 124+ years of your wonderful and much appreciated business, loyalty, and friendships,” the statement reads. “We are saddened to say goodbye but the memories will last forever.”
According to the business’ statement, 5th Ave. Floral Co. closed as owner Kim Fitz has retired.
