After more than 7 years, Short North workout spot announces closure

The Short North location of a national fitness chain will close for good before the end of the year.

According to a social media post from Orangetheory Fitness, the concept’s Short North home will be closing its doors after classes on Dec. 31.

“We are reaching out with difficult news today. Despite the incredible effort put in over the past few years, our Short North studio has not been able to sustain the membership need to sustain rising operating costs,” the post reads.

Members of Orangetheory Short North will automatically have their memberships transferred to the chain’s Grandview location.

“We want your fitness journey to continue uninterrupted, and our teams are ready to welcome you with the same high energy, heart and care you’re used to,” the post reads.

Orangetheory Fitness Short North is located at 985 N. High St.
