Alleged Columbus female serial killer fit to stand trial, according to judge

A Columbus woman accused of meeting men for sex and drugging them (which led to the death of several individuals) has been ruled fit to stand trial.
Columbus woman, Rebecca Auborn, 34, was found competent for trial by Judge Karen H. Phipps on Feb. 13. A trial date has not been set at this time, however.
Auborn was arrested in October of 2023, and was charged with 28 crimes, including four counts each of murder and involuntary manslaughter, in addition to multiple drug and robbery-related crimes.

According to a press release from the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost after her 2023 indictment, Auburn allegedly gave four men who were paying her for sex lethal doses of drugs between January and June of 2023. She allegedly attempted to overdose another victim in December of 2022. Yost’s release claims she drugged the men in order to later steal their possessions.
“Don’t buy sex in Ohio – it ruins lives and could cost you yours,” Yost said in the press release.
