Armored MMA, featuring suits of armor, weapons in a UFC-style cage, coming to Ohio

Sometimes, there are things we don’t realize we need, mainly because we don’t realize they exist. Armored MMA is one of them.

The bizarre sport, which operates under a league known as the AMMA, is bringing its weapon-wielding and armor-wearing action to Ohio next month.

On June 7, the AMMA will bring a four-hour event to The Center for Performance at Hall of Fame Village in Canton. Tickets, which are available here, start at $55.

While we have not performed a deep-dive into the nuances and specific rules of the AMMA, we do know guys in suits of armor are swinging spears at each during a cage fight, and we don’t think there’s much else you need to know.
