A ‘Tommy Boy’ festival is coming to Ohio
A festival dedicated to the iconic Chris Farley classic Tommy Boy is coming to Sandusky.
Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the movie with a three-day festival this summer, Tommy Boy Fest will be held Aug. 7-9, kicking off at Jackson Street Pier.
Those familiar with the classic 1995 comedy will recall that, in the movie, Sandusky is home to the fictional Callahan Auto Parts, which the late Chris Farley and David Spade attempt to save as the movie’s central plotline.

The festival will include live music, outdoor screenings of the movie on a giant screen, a Tommy Want Wingy Throwdown, a Sights Not Seen in the Movie scavenger hunt and even a Character Lookalike Contest.
Additionally, director Peter Segal will bring his restored 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II GTX (the actual car used by Farley and Spade in the movie) inviting any Sandusky residents named Tom or Tommy to join him for a photo op with the car.
