Car plows through Downtown bike rack, hits pedestrian, almost hits restaurant
On Wednesday, a popular Downtown deli was almost smashed into, but a bike rack may have saved the day.
A car plowed through the outdoor, grass-roofed bike rack around 6pm near Broad St. and Third. According to The Citizen App, a pedestrian was struck in the process, but 614Now could not find any reported injuries.

Lexi’s on Third, the deli at that intersection, was almost damaged in the process. The restaurant posted on Instagram that the bike rack prevented the car from “parking in the dining room.” They said that “despite some minor window damage, all is well.”
