Central Ohio kids make internet waves after lemonade stand money for Zoombezi Bay membership stolen

Central Ohio is on the lookout for an alleged thief after a group of Delaware children had the money they raised in a lemonade stand stolen recently.
According to a GoFundMe page created for the children—which includes siblings aged 5,6, 8 and 9—they originally opened a lemonade stand in Delaware in order to raise money for passes to the popular waterpark Zoombezi Bay.

“While we were cleaning up, someone came by and swiped multiple pens and there money container,” a parent of the children wrote in a post on the What’s Up in Delaware, OH Facebook group. “I have stressed to the kids how important it is to bring those items in first and sadly they started with the lemonade. While dad and I were grabbing the rest, they realized it was gone. Just bring it back please.”
According to mother of the children Jean Fox, here’s what her 9 year-old asked her after the incident:
“Mommy, why are people so mean? I worked so hard for the money and I just want to have fun this summer. Can we still go?”

At the time this story was published, the kids have raised $250 of their $500 goal.
”They would be beyond blessed,” Fox said about the possibility of their fundraiser reaching its goal. “They have not been to Zoombezi Bay and this would be a new core memory for them!
