Clintonville Donatos employee shot after confronting suspect breaking into car


A tragic shooting took place outside of a Clintonville Donato’s earlier this week.
On Sunday night, Columbus Police were called to search for a suspect that’s being accused of shooting a Donatos employee around 10:50 p.m. Police said that the shooting took place outside of the 3489 North High Street Donatos, after a reported car break-in.

The Donatos employee saw the suspect breaking into their car, went out to the parking lot, and confronted them. As the suspect was leaving in a white SUV, police said shots were fired from the car, striking the employee.
The Columbus Division of Fire told 614Now that the employee/victim was transported to Riverside Hospital in stable condition.
Donatos released the following statement: “We are saddened by the shooting incident occurring on April 13th at our Clintonville Donatos Pizza Location at 3489 N. High Street, which involved one of our associates. We care deeply about the wellbeing of our team members, and Donatos Pizza will work with the police department through the entirety of this investigation.”
