If you happened to experience traffic that just wouldn’t moooove on I-270 South last evening, it wasn’t because of the usual car accident.

A cow was loose on the freeway last evening (Monday), causing all lanes on I-270 S to be shut down for several hours.

Police spent an hour trying to coax the cow into a trailer. Grain was eventually used to get the cow near enough to put a lasso around its neck, eventually then led into a trailer.

The interstate reopened a little after 8 p.m. According to Hilliard Division of Police, the cow escaped from a trailer while it was stopped alongside the road, and the driver was cited.
