Feds raid Ohio mall kiosk, arrest owner for sale of counterfeit jerseys, Nikes

Federal agents raided a Dayton mall late last week and arrested the owner of a kiosk who was allegedly selling counterfeit soccer jerseys and shoes.

On March 6, a 25 year old Turkish national named Emre Teski was arrested after agents raided his kiosk at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek.

He ran two kiosks, one selling soccer jersey and the other selling Nike shoes.

Prior to his arrest, prosecutors claim Teski sold counterfeit Nikes and a counterfeit Lionel Messi Jersey to an investigator.

Federal prosecutors believe Teski illegally entered the United States through Mexico in 2022. He was ordered to be removed from the country in early 2024, but appealed the decision and is allowed to work as his appeal is being processed.

Trafficking counterfeit goods is a crime prosecutable by up to 10 years in prison.
