High Street clothing shop announces closure

Jack McLaughlin

A chic High Street resale spot is set to shutter.

According to a social media post from Pivot owner Nicci Hicks, the fashion-forward resale clothing shop located at 718 N. High St. plans to close at the end of the year.

The post, which you can read in its entirety here, cites a number of factors for the closure, including the enormous amount of time the store took to operate, content fatigue and the resources required to carry brands that aligned with Pivot’s ethos of sustainability and inclusivity.

It’s unclear when Pivot, which also operates an online store, will formally close.

Fans of the brand will still be able to follow Hicks on social media, as she plans to to continue sharing her “style and creativity” on her personal accounts.

“Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Pivot became more than a store. It became a community, a creative space and a dream realized,” the post reads.
