‘Live wires hanging from the ceiling:’ Patron films himself destroying college bar bathroom
If you’re a campus-area bar owner, you know that your facilities will likely see a good amount of wear and tear. But one popular Ohio State bar believes a patron crossed the line between college hijinks and serious vandalism.
And all of it was recorded.
Over the weekend, Threes Above High—the campus-area establishment that was recently tapped by USA Today as one of the county’s bars of the year for 2025–reposted a video of a patron destroying its bathroom.

You can watch the vide here.
The video clip has a text bar across the bottom that reads “Part 2.” It depicts an individual holding what appears to be an empty champagne bottle, which he hurls at an (already-shattered) bathroom mirror, before ripping down low-hanging ceiling tiles and wiring.
Threes Above High tagged a private account in their post whose profile photo resembled the individual in the video at the time this story was published. The bar also tagged The Ohio State University, although it could not be confirmed whether or not the individual is enrolled at the school.
Threes Above High owner Scott Ellsworth told 614Now that while college bar patrons going too far “comes with the territory,” the recent bathroom destruction “carried an aggressive and arrogant tone, which made it more troubling than the usual antics.” He added the bar typically deals with the theft of their their mats and the occasional destruction of a soap dispenser or toilet.
Ellsworth also noted this incident created a real safety hazard for other customers.
“He yanked part of the ceiling down, which tore out the electrical wiring from the lights and cut the power to the back half of the bar. It immediately made the space unsafe, with lives wires hanging from the ceiling,” he said. “That was the truly concerning part.”
Another post from Threes Above High implies the bar will be pursuing legal action against the individual.
Other campus-area bars wasted little time chiming in on the matter. Ledo’s Tavern added a comment to the Threes post that reads:
“Is there a video of part 1? Because we think he was here last night too and one of our front windows was smashed.”
Additionally, The Library Bar shared a lengthy Instagram post noting that the individual who destroyed Threes’ bathroom would be banned from their establishment.
