Local assistant principal and her husband allegedly tied to serial rape cases
Editor’s Note: This article discusses sexual assault.
Marcia Davis, an assistant principal at World Language Middle School of Columbus City Schools, was indicted last Friday, facing two felony counts of “obstructing justice” and two misdemeanor charges of “intimidation of an attorney, victim, or witness in a criminal case.”
Davis’ husband, Michael, is facing more than 20 charges in serial rape cases. The 58 year old faces criminal charges accusing him of rape and kidnapping seven women between 2013 and 2024. He allegedly picked up sex workers in his truck, according to court documents, often holding the women against their will at knifepoint, taking them to nearby motels or friends’ homes and forcing them to perform sexual acts with him. While out on bond, authorities allege that he continued to rape and kidnap several other victims.

The court records show that he was known as the “Linden Rapist” by people in the area. Court records also said that prosecutors found more than 75 videos and photographs on Davis’ cellphone engaging in these sexual acts, some of whom were begging to be let go. One of the victims actually turned in Davis’ cellphone to detectives at the Franklin County Sheriff’s office.
You may be wondering where Assistant Principal Marcia Davis comes into the picture. Well, there’s alleged evidence that she knew what her husband was doing to these women. Court records show that a search warrant was placed on Marcia’s cellphone. Michael sent Marcia multiple videos of himself with the women, some who were in “obvious duress…pleading to be let go,” according to the records. Davis was heard in the videos talking directly to Marcia, “…requesting money to pay off the female to ‘shut her up,’” according to records.
On May 18, 2024, Michael sent Marcia a text that said, “This girl is for real, give me a call,” according to court records. Marcia has been assigned to at-home duties for Columbus City Schools for now.
