Man dead after jumping off Rich Street bridge into Scioto River
On Saturday afternoon, a man’s body was recovered by rescue divers.
According to the Columbus Division of Fire, a citizen walking along the Scioto Mile called the police after watching a man climb over the Rich Street Bridge rail and jump into the river. Fire and police units immediately responded around 1:30PM, with rescue divers going into the river, they told 614Now.

The man was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, and pronounced dead at the hospital.
This incident is still ongoing, and an investigation is occurring.
