Ohio kids learn to steal car from YouTube, crash stolen vehicle into house

A group of Ohio children— aged 12 years and younger—ended their joyride or a stolen vehicle after crashing into a house last weekend, according to a News 5 Cleveland report.

Just before 3 p.m. on Dec. 20, Police in Newburgh Heights received a call about a stolen vehicle. After locating and attempting to stop the car, the vehicle attempted to flee and ending up crashing into a Newburgh Heights home.

According to the News 5 Cleveland story, the driver of the vehicle was 11 years old, and was accompanied by a 12 year-old and an 8 year-old, who was the driver’s brother.

“You’re 12 years old … f****** stealing cars? The hell is wrong with you?” a  Newburgh Heights police officer is heard saying on a body camera recording after apprehending the driver.

The children told police they learned how to steal the vehicle by watchingYouTube tutorials.
