Ohio pilot ‘draws’ the Grinch with flight pattern during three-hour flight
A recreational pilot spent hours in the sky over the Buckeye State to create a festive representation of the Grinch with his flight pattern.
The flight took off and landed at Wold County Regional Airport in Bowling Green. It flew west to Defiance, where the Grinch’s feet were “drawn.” Eventually, the unique recreation of the Dr. Seuss classic finished with its head just south of Seneca, and its finger pointing at Liberty Center and Texas (Ohio).
Here’s a visualization from FlightAware.

The flight lasted three hours and seven minutes. The actual creation of the Grinch outline took approximately two and a half hours. The pilot’s name has not been released.
Several days after the Ohio Grinch, a Canadian pilot recreated another rendition of the holiday character in the air over Nova Scotia.
