Ohio ranked as one of the nation’s most unhealthy states, according to new study

A new data study has tapped the Buckeye State as one of the most unhealthy states in the nation.

According to a study from healthcare staffing platform Nursa, Ohio is the 10th most unhealthy state in the country. Here’s the full top 10:

The Buckeye State, which landed an Overall Health Score of 5.93, had one of the highest smoking rates among the 10 most unhealthy states (19.78 percent), the second-lowest number of public pools per 100,000 resident in the top 10 (0.85) and the highest pollution score (8.88).

In case you’re curious, the study found that the country’s healthiest state is Vermont, which landed an Overall Health Score of 8.69.
