Ohio woman arrested after alleged Christmas ornament assault
Christmas ornaments were used in an assault that seriously injured multiple people – including children – in southern Ohio, a county sheriff said.
It happened in a small community in Lawrence County, east of Ironton. Deputies showed up to find several injured people, including kids. Sheriff Jeff Lawless said emergency crews took them to the hospital. They are currently reported to be stable.
The sheriff’s office said after an investigation 29-year-old Kayla Holbrook was taken into custody. She is charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of endangering children.

Detectives collected evidence. The case will be reviewed by the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigators didn’t release any more details about what happened. The sheriff’s office said because children are involved, they won’t release any more information about victims or witnesses. Sheriff Lawless asked the public to respect their privacy.
