Police chief of Central Ohio city on leave after allegedly sexually harassing police officer

The chief of police for the city of Groveport has been placed on leave after sexual harassment claims, while a third-party investigation is underway.
According to a statement from Fraternal order of Police Capital City Lodge #9 Brian Steel, Groveport Police chief Casey Adams was placed on administrative leave for allegedly sexually harassing another police officer.
Following the allegation, Groveport Law Director Kevin Shannon told 614Now that the city had hired Frost Brown Todd Attorneys to conduct an investigation into the claims.

“If this disturbing allegation is true we expect him to be held accountable, I applaud the Groveport Mayor for taking swift action and conducting an independent investigation rather than brushing under the rug,” Steel’s statement reads.
The details of the allegation were not released.
