Report: Ohio doctor charged with arson after allegedly burning down another doctor’s home

A Toledo doctor was indicted earlier this month for allegedly burning down the home of a fellow Lucas County doctor, according to a WTVG report.

A grand jury indicted Dr. Andrew Campbell on Feb. 11 after an investigation into a Dec. 7 arson at the home of another doctor led investigators to Campbell. He is a Hematology-Oncology fellow at the University of Toledo Medical Center UTMC), although he was placed on administrative leave on Dec. 20, according to a UTMC statement provided to WTVG.

The home that was set on fire is located in Sylvania Township and belongs to another physician, although they have not been identified, and it’s not currently clear why the alleged arson was committed.

According to Sylvania municipal court records, Campbell was charged with aggravated arson on Dec. 19, a first-degree felony which is punishable by up to 11 years in prison.
