Riders stuck & suspended vertically on new rollercoaster at Ohio amusement park

The tallest, fastest, and longest “tilt” roller coaster in North America experienced some technical difficulties during its opening week.

On Saturday, June 28th, riders were suspended vertically in the air on Cedar Point’s new ride, Siren’s Curse, for nearly 10 minutes during the “tilting” portion of the rollercoaster, where the tracks break off and tilts to reconnect to another track.

Video footage shows the riders stuck until a maintenance employee was able to tilt the riders back horizontally. The roller coaster was able to reopen within 25 minutes of the incident, and there were fortunately no reported injuries.
