A well-known bouncer at Short North Tavern was attacked while working, according to GoFundMe, resulting in a broken jaw that needs to be fixed surgically.

“While trying to stop someone from getting out of the bar after alleged theft,” Dakota, AKA Bear, got in a fight, resulting in both sides of his jaw being broken. He had a seizure as well, said the GoFundMe that’s started by his parents.

Bear will be out of work for a while for his recovery. “The amount of medical bills will be a great burden as he has no insurance at this time,” they said. If you’d like to help this bouncer with recovery, you can support him here.
