Suspect in Columbus Hobby Lobby fire turns themselves in
On September 27, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Columbus Division of Fire responded to a reported fire inside the New Albany Hobby Lobby. “When crews arrived, the store had already been evacuated, and a sprinkler system had extinguished the fire. Heavy smoke was present throughout the store, but no injuries were reported,” said the Columbus Division of Police.
Security footage caught a woman inside the store at the time of the fire. “She is described as an older woman with white hair, accompanied by two younger females, and we believe she may have information that could assist in the investigation,” said the police.

They posted a picture of her online, as well as footage from the fire, and asked the public to help identify the woman. Columbus Division of Fire told 614Now that the people involved in the arson actually turned themselves in.
The investigation is still ongoing.
