These are the 20 worst places to live in Ohio, according to new ‘Money Inc.’ study


We talk a lot about the best places to live in The Buckeye State, but have you ever considered which cities are the worst to call home?
In case you haven’t, a new study from the online publication Money Inc. has got you covered. It lists the 20 worst places to live in Ohio, based on a number of factors. To generate their list, Money Inc. considered unemployment data from across the state, in addition to crime rates, cost of living and entertainment options in each city.
The worst city in Ohio to live? That’s Canton, according to the study. Here’s what the publication had to say about it:

Newton County News identified that Canton is the most dangerous city across the state of Ohio – and this is as a result of FBI crime data. With a poverty rate of 31.5 percent, an unemployment rate of 11.15 percent, and a relentlessly bleak job market, Canton ranks as one of the poorest cities in the US. Unsurprisingly, the bottom fell out of the property market a long time ago.
Today, homeowners to fetch more than $71,100 for their houses. The cost of living is low, but the quality of life is also low, as shown on LivingCost.org. The bad news doesn’t stop there. With 1398 violent crimes per 100 thousand residents and 5292 property crimes per 100 thousand residents, it’s one of the most crime-ridden cities in the state.
