This 15 year-old Worthington business is closing for good

Jack McLaughlin

Before the end of the year, a long-standing Worthington business will close.

Grid Furnishings announced that it plans to close its doors for good on Dec, 31. The 4,000 square foot furniture showroom is located at 661 A High St. in Worthington.

Created by owner Tim Friar as a gallery of North American furniture that aimed to “fill a void for modern furniture in Central Ohio,” the store offers pieces that are exclusive within a 100-mile radius of Columbus.

According to a press release, Friar attempted to find a business willing to take over Grid, but no deal ever materialized.

Orders for new items can still be made at the Worthington store, and all furniture will be 30-90 percent off until Grid Furnishings closes.
