This Ohio city is one of the country’s ‘tattoo regret capitals,’ new study says

Earlier this month, the city of Cleveland was tapped by WalletHub as one of the least safe in the country. Now, the Northeastern Ohio city is leading the way for tattoo regrets, according to a new study from Turvallinen Kasino.

The study, which analyzed 177 cities across the country, ranked Cleveland as the city with the 4th-most tattoo regret. Here’s the top 5:

Orlando
Atlanta
Salt Lake City
Cleveland
Miami

To generate its rankings, the study used Google Keyword Planner to analyze the total volume of searches in each city using the following keywords:

Tattoo regret, tattoo removal, tattoo cover-up, tattoo removal near me, laser tattoo removal, tattoo removal cost, tattoo cover-up before and after

The volume of searches was then adjusted according to the number of searches per 100,000 residents for each city. The country’s tattoo regret capital, Orlando, saw 423.68 searches per 100,000 residents. Cleveland had 360.89 searches. Per 100,000 residents.

Cincinnati was number 16 (228.32), followed by Akron at 39 (162.68). No other Ohio cities appeared in the top 50, and rankings for the other 122 cities were not shared.
