Three Ohio cities in the nation’s 10-best towns for Halloween, according to new study
According to a new study from FinanceBuzz, Ohio appears to be spookiest state in the nation.
The study, which analyzed data across 75 cities to find the country’s best “Halloweentowns,” saw a trio of Ohio cities land in the top 10 spots.

-Cincinnati at 4 (score of 78.9)
-Toledo at 5 (score of 78.7)
-Cleveland at 6 (score of 77.9)
For reference, and perhaps as a bit of a surprise, Salt Lake City was named the nation’s top Halloweentown, with a score of 85.5. Columbus landed at 42 overall, with a score of 42.4. Last year, Toledo took the top spot in the same study.
Each city’s score was calculated by analyzing its number of candy of stores, costume shops, haunted houses, Spirit Halloween store, “real” haunts and more per 100,000 residents.
