Video: Riders walk down track after new Cedar Point ride stuck for second time in opening week

Cedar Point’s new Siren’s Curse roller coaster made headlines when it opened on June 28, and drew plenty of rave reviews.

It likely made even more news for the two hiccups that followed after it was unveiled, however.

On opening day, the ride—billed as the tallest, fastest and longest “tilt” coaster in North America—saw a carriage of riders stuck in a vertical position for close to 10 minutes before eventually being restarted.

Less than a week later, on July 2, the ride became stuck again, but this time, the ride could not be restarted. Multiple videos showing employees helping riders as they’re forced to walk down the track to safety have made waves on the internet since the incident.
