Video: Vice President JD Vance drops OSU National Championship trophy

Yesterday, the Buckeyes visited the White House to celebrate their National Championship victory, and it was punctuated by a very public fumble.
The drop came from a politician, though, not a football player.
With head coach Ryan Day flanked by Donald Trump and JD Vance, the vice president attempted to hoist up the trophy up with OSU running back TreyVon Henderson, and that’s where things fell apart. Literally. The trophy’s base appeared to have separated from its top, and went crashing to the ground.

According to USA Today, the National Championship trophy weighs 35 pounds, and is made of gold, bronze and stainless steel. Henderson and Vance appear to put the trophy back together at the end of the video. That’s good at least, right?
