Cook–and eat–your way around the Buckeye State with this unique new Ohio-sourced cookbook

You are what you eat, so technically, if you really want to be an Ohioan, you’d consume food entirely sourced from the Buckeye State, right?
Either way, Ohio is full of eclectic food products, from Guggisberg cheese to Thai-style sausage and phyllo dough, so why wouldn’t you want to eat local? And now, a new entirely Ohio-sourced cookbook lets you do just that.
The Ohio Proud Cookbook is out now. The publication (which you can also read entirely online), features 23 different recipes from nearly two dozen Ohio growers, farmers and artisans, including everything from Reuben Crunchwraps made with Frank’s Kraut to Hot Honey Baklava using phyllo dough from Athens.
“Ohio Proud represents the one-of-a-kind, exceptional foods and products that are grown and raised in the heart of Ohio,” said Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Brian Baldridge. “Our farmers, producers, and small business owners work every day to provide families with local, wholesome products. Our Ohio Proud partners help strengthen our state’s number one industry, food and agriculture, and we are proud to share their recipes from every corner of our state.”
While we could tell you more about the new Ohio Proud Cookbook, why don’t we just show you instead? You can check out the entire publication below.
