Where Curiosity Comes Out to Play: The COSI Science Festival returns with 100+ ways to love learning

At its core, the COSI Science Festival is about one thing: showing Ohio just
how fun, weird, and wonderful STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering,
Arts, and Math) can be.
Back for its sixth year, this Festival is a four-day celebration of curiosity,
community, and hands-on learning, culminating in the free Big Science
Celebration on Saturday, May 3, right outside COSI. If you’ve never been,
picture dozens of tents packed with experiments, live shows, and surprising
science moments around every corner—plus enough liquid nitrogen and
robots to make your inner kid freak out (in the best way).
But what makes this festival special isn’t just the STEM wizardry, it’s the
people. It’s a teacher from Zanesville who brings her students every year. A
retiree discovering 3D printing for the first time. A dad and daughter
piloting a soapbox car down the street together.
With over 100 events statewide from April 30 to May 2—including behind-
the-scenes tours, brewery demos, and science trivia nights—the Festival
brings STEAM learning right to where people live, learn, and lounge.
Hosted by COSI with the support of incredible partners like Battelle, the
COSI Science Festival proves that science isn’t just for classrooms—it’s for
everyone.
